From watching a shot to choosing one
Z Ball: 1v1 Tilt Shot Arena is available on Android. Choose an angle, set the power and see where your ball settles.
A sloped-table clip invites you to make a prediction. You pick a target, watch the ball roll and discover whether the line you imagined would have worked. On a phone, you get to make that decision yourself.
In Z Ball, pull back to choose your shot’s angle and power, then release. A bank shot uses the edge of the arena to reach a target from another direction. Collisions and chain scoring mean you also need to consider the position you leave behind.
Start by changing one thing at a time. Keep a similar line and adjust the power, or keep the power similar and try another angle. That gives you something specific to learn from each attempt.
Pick the way you want to play
You can learn the controls before challenging another player. Pick the mode that fits the time and company you have.
| What you want to try | Where to begin |
|---|---|
| Learn the controls and explore shots | Practice or CPU play |
| Take turns with someone beside you | Couch Clash on the same phone |
| Challenge a friend on another device | Online 1v1 using a friend room code |
| Work through solo objectives | Z Tour or Trick Shot challenges |
Same-phone play and online play are separate options. Online matches require an internet connection; sharing one phone means both players use that device. Check the in-game guidance for the mode you choose.
Two players, one Android phone
Couch Clash is Z Ball’s competitive same-device mode. Two people take turns on one phone. If you are looking for a pass-and-play game while sitting together, this is the mode to consider. You play against each other; each player’s shot changes the table the next player has to read.
Choose by where your friend is
| Your setup | Choose | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| Beside you, sharing one phone | Couch Clash | Offline gameplay |
| On another device | Online 1v1 with a friend room code | Internet required |
| You want to learn a line first | Practice or a CPU match | Offline gameplay |
Install and check compatibility through Google Play before you plan to play. This guide describes the gameplay modes; downloading, purchases and cloud features have their own connection requirements.
Give your first shots a purpose
- Learn the gesture together. Try Practice first. Pull back to set angle and power, then release. Change one setting at a time so both players can see what changed the result.
- Read the scoring rows. Z Ball’s near, middle and far rows score 1, 2 and 5 points. A higher-value target gives you more to aim for, but you still need to judge the line and power.
- Compare a direct line with a bank. Look at the edge of the arena and the balls already on the table. Consider both where your shot might land and the position you would leave for the next turn.
Direct links between captured balls can add points. Use the game’s instructions for the scoring details, and compare what happened with the shot you intended. You do not need to memorise a physical-sport rulebook before trying our game.
Is this a co-op game?
Couch Clash is a head-to-head match, with players taking turns. If you want to work as a team towards a shared win, choose a game that offers cooperative play. If you want to challenge each other with shot choices, try Couch Clash.

How does it relate to the physical sport?
If you arrived after watching Star Cluster Ball or UNC Ball clips, Z Ball explores that appeal with its own rules, arenas and progression. You may also find the physical format through YoTyan or 星罗球, often written as Xing Luo Qiu.
These names do not identify one universal rule set. Different tables and published guides describe different scoring and turn situations. For a real match, use the organiser’s rules or the creator’s explanation. For Z Ball, use the game’s instructions.
